[low FODMAP] Citrus Pork Marinade

Citrus Marinade (Carnitas)

Here's a recipe with some great freshness to it. This is great on Pork add it to a pork chop and let it sit in the fridge for 2 hours. (Not longer, not shorter) This is super simple and the only thing you might not have in your pantry is the cilantro. I often by cilantro for other things recipes and make some of this marinade to use up the cilantro before it goes bad.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole limes
  • 1 tbsp garlic infused oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp low FODMAP chili powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • cup fresh cilantro You can totally use the stocks of the clilantro asa we are going to blend this up. (Or in a pinch you can substitute dried parsley.)

Instructions

  • Juice the limes
  • Pour everything into a blender
  • Blend
  • Freeze it for use later or marinade some pork right now!
